WHY THE GREENWOOD MARKET?

The Greenwood Market at Ashes to Anthems is a curated vendor experience designed to intentionally spotlight and support Black-owned businesses during this Juneteenth celebration. Inspired by Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District, once known as Black Wall Street and one of the most prosperous Black economic communities in America, this marketplace honors that legacy through present-day action.
This is a space where culture meets commerce, bringing together entrepreneurs, artisans, and brands from across the community to showcase their products, tell their stories, and connect directly with attendees. More than a marketplace, this is an opportunity to circulate dollars back into the community, supporting the very people and businesses that are integral to the cultural and economic fabric of Pasadena and surrounding areas.

Resource Village

At the center of Ashes to Anthems is the Resource Village, a dedicated space designed to provide direct, on-the-ground support for individuals and families impacted by the Eaton Fires.
This is where restoration moves from intention to action. In partnership with The Legacy Land Project, Victory Bible Church, and Project Passion, the Resource Village will bring together a network of service providers, organizations, and advocates offering immediate and ongoing support.
Attendees will have access to:

• Housing navigation and placement support
• Financial assistance and relief resources
• Insurance advocacy and claims guidance
• Mental health and wellness services
• Workforce development and employment opportunities
• Family support services and youth resources

This is not a symbolic activation. It is a functional hub for rebuilding lives. In a time where many families are still navigating displacement and uncertainty, Resource Village ensures that no one has to rebuild alone. It creates a pathway to stability, dignity, and home. This is the mission. This is the impact. This is why Ashes to Anthems exists.
